Christine Jackson
I am a Western Australian artist, deeply inspired by the natural beauty of our coastline and landscapes. The ocean has always been a place of calm for me, where life slows down, and everything feels a little more grounded. Much of my work is a reflection of that stillness, capturing quiet moments and the ever-changing colours of the sea.
Creativity has always been part of who I am. From studying art throughout school and university to always finding ways to create, it has been a constant thread in my life. It wasn’t until more recently, with the support of those around me and through my own personal journey, that I began to truly take my art seriously and share it more openly.
Alongside my work as an artist, I am also a primary school teacher, currently teaching Year 1. I absolutely love what I do, bringing energy, creativity, and a sense of fun into the classroom each day. Whether I’m teaching literacy, maths, or encouraging creative expression, I’m always drawn to making learning meaningful and engaging.
At home, I’m surrounded by my greatest inspiration, my family. I’m a wife and a mum to two wonderful boys and, even our dog is a boy! Life is full, busy, and often a little chaotic, but it’s something I truly cherish.
My hope is that my artwork brings a sense of calm, connection, and joy into your space. As I continue to grow as an artist, I’m excited to explore new subjects, styles, and ideas. This is just the beginning of the journey.
